Eco-friendly Brick Cleaning

Unlike some brick cleaning companies in London, here at S.J. Pointer, we don’t use extremely corrosive chemicals and highly abrasive sandblasting. We choose to provide both eco-friendly and safe brick cleaning restoration services.

Lime Mortar RePointing

When the brick cleaning is complete we use lime mortar for repointing the brickwork. Too hard, less flexible, and impermeable properties of Portland cement based mortar is proven to lead to premature deterioration of soft, historic bricks.

Flush Finish Pointing

This type of pointing is finished off flush with the edges of the bricks to give a rough “old look” appearance. This type of pointing requires a lot of skill and experience to get the expected results.
