Once the bricks were revealed, any cement residues were gently cleaned to prepare for repointing. Any damaged or corroded bricks were replaced with matching bricks to ensure uniformity and durability. The existing hard cement mortar was removed from all joints by hand, taking care not to damage the surrounding brickwork.

We then repointed the facade using traditional lime mortar. The hand-tooled joints matched the property’s period style while ensuring breathability and long-term durability. Lime mortar allows moisture to escape naturally, preventing trapped damp that can damage soft historic bricks.
