Pointing

Pointing is the process of replacing deteriorated mortar in the joints of a masonry wall with new mortar. Obvious signs of deterioration signal the need for pointing. These include: disintegrating mortar, cracks in mortar joints, loose bricks or stones, damp walls or damaged plasterwork.

After cutting out all loose and damaged mortar and replacing bricks which  faces have been damaged as a result of water getting into the joints we start repointing.
